Programme

Your potential is key. At Krauthammer we believe everything starts and ends with people.

We would like you to start your journey at Krauthammer with a year and a half Young Professional Programme. In this role you will be involved in commercial and marketing activities, gain experience in project and account management and have the opportunity to co-deliver and facilitate behavioural change programmes. After a successful time as a Young Professional, this position could lead to a future role as a consultant.

As a Krauthammer Young Professional you will

  • Learn how to confront people with desirable behaviour changes in different work settings
  • Implement the behavioural skills by co-facilitating (behavioural) change workshops
  • Work on new sales channel ideas, value propositions and market approach
  • Work on client cases where you will recognise windows of opportunity and design innovative proposals
  • Contribute to Business Development innovation projects
  • Be a shining example of our brand and the values we stand for
  • And much more...

Your development

The Krauthammer Young Professional Programme gives you the opportunity to:

  • Get introduced into the world of training, coaching and consulting
  • Gain experience in project and account management
  • Work on various projects (co-facilitation and innovation, client projects and internal projects)
  • Develop yourself through an extensive learning programme (behaviour and skills)
  • Be coached by mentors and learn from their broad experience
  • Be prepared for a future role as consultant
  • Get to know yourself really well

Through the programme you create your future role, you gain experience and discover your potential. How will this work out? To become a future consultant, you will be exposed to all areas our consultants work in, such as: facilitation, training, project management, change management and much more.

The programme set up is based on two pillars for development:
Learning (education through skills: learning and training)
Doing (professional experience: working in projects)

Learning

The Learning programme is built up in sessions during the contract period and takes place in a group together with other Krauthammer Young Professionals. At a central location you will be exposed to the background and philosophy of Krauthammer and the core modules that we also offer to clients. These sessions are linked to the Krauthammer University that brings all international consultants together several times per year.

Krauthammer University is both the fountainhead and heart of our organisation. Here we create new knowledge, develop and implement new strategic directions, exchange best practices and provide our consultants and supporting staff with behavioural training and cognitive learning through exposure to external thought leaders. This is part of our life-long learning culture. Krauthammer University

During the Krauthammer Young Professional Programme other elements will be part of the learning curriculum, such as:

  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Commercial appearance, strategic key account management, telephone skills and negotiation skills
  • Change management
  • Proposal writing and value proposition
  • Team sessions
  • Client case studies

Doing

The Doing Programme is built up by different types of projects that you will work on, such as: commercial and marketing, internal and innovation projects, delivery and co-facilitation of client projects. The best learning happens when you work alongside an experienced consultant who will be your mentor at the same time. During the programme you will be able and are expected to take more and more responsibility within these projects.

The commercial projects will include, for example, market research, setting up and conducting client events for existing and new value propositions, preparing proposals and involvement in account management. In the field of innovation you will have assignments in business development and new services. Examples are development of new future leadership and development themes or informal learning in a client's organisation, but also social media and new business models. Eventually you get the chance to co-deliver and facilitate trainings and to manage client projects.

You'll experience the different aspects of the work of a Krauthammer consultant, and discover your potential to become a future colleague and your fit with the company.

Guidance and Coaching

Our business is to develop people. Therefore we are proud of the Krauthammer Young Professional Programme as we can offer our best skills to you. You will experience guidance and support from all your Krauthammer colleagues. When working on projects you will work alongside an experienced consultant. For the formal coaching and performance review you will report to the responsible manager for your programme in the location you are based (Amsterdam, Paris or Zürich). Expectations and goals for your performance will be formulated together with you, and you are responsible for keeping track of your progress. On regular bases you meet to discuss, assess and navigate your further development areas.

During the programme both you and Krauthammer need to assess the fit with the company and the professional ambition to be a consultant. Based on this outcome and your performance a final decision for a permanent position will be made.
